Chris Pepper is a producer, engineer and musician based in Cambridgeshire. He set up his first studio, The Hub Sound Studios in Cambridge in 2010 with an old school friend. This became a successful rehearsal and recording facility as well as a vital part of the local music scene. It was here that Chris gained great experience working with a wide array of artists in many genres.

The Hub closed it doors in December 2016 but drawing from his experience over the last 6 years as a studio owner, Chris has now branched out with his new venture, Saltwell Studio.

Being a musician himself, Chris is often called upon to give life and energy to a track by adding live drums and percussion and often will build a song from the ground up using a combination of programming, and performing bass, guitars and keyboards etc.

Chris also has a successful working relationship with singer/songwriter/producer Boo Hewerdine (The Bible/Eddi Reader). Chris and Boo have worked on several albums together including Chris Difford (Squeeze) – ‘Pants’ & ‘Fancy Pants’, The New 52 debut ‘Let Me Sleep’, Findlay Napier’s – ‘Glasgow’ & Boo Hewerdine – ’Swimming In Mercury’.
